Rotary
District 9750 - Web Site Guide
Configure FTP to
access Your Club Web Site [Print This Page]
If you are using WS-FTP, then there is a page
on the Rotarnet site with an example of its setup,
just click here to see that.
This is an example for setting up FTP access in CuteFTP,
for the fictitious "Rotary Club of Anytown" from
District 9750.
| Information provided by your web site host, say Rotarnet in this case, would include: | |
| Host server: | rotarnet.com.au |
| User ID: | itsme2 |
| Password: | oiam12 |
| Directory: | rotarnet/users/9/97599 |
| The configuration in CuteFTP Site Manager is then as follows: | |

and the further details from the Edit button are:

If you enter the password in the configuration box, hitting
the "Connect" button will connect and log in. If the PC
is used by others, leave the password blank and when you hit
"Connect" you will be asked to enter the password
before connecting each time.
Once connected, your local files will be in the left panel and
those on the host server in the right panel, and you can copy
between them both ways (known as upload to the server and and
download from it) by drag and drop or hittting the Upload or
Download button, rename, delete etc, just like a file manager.
Copying a directory copies all the files in it.
Note: For the above Club set up, if the short form home page
is arranged, users can access the site by entering:
rotarnet.com.au/Anytown
into their browser, and the link there will take them to the
entry page located at
rotarnet.com.au/users/9/97599
