Rotary District 9750 - Rotary web site revamps

Rotary District 9750 has its own Domain.
The District web site and e-mail addresses have now changed to our own domain:
rotaryd9750.org.au

Links and bookmarks to the District web site will need to be updated.
Please update your e-mail addresses also.

Both systems operated in tandem during during the couple of months of changeover,
there will be some re-direction arrangements after that (not all pages though).
Please try to make the changes before the end of the 2003-04 Rotary year
(when you would be updating your club pages anyway).

The d9750xxx@rotarnet.com.au e-mail addresses have been replaced by domain addresses, @rotaryd9750.org.au, and a couple added. They are always listed on our "Contact Us" page for future reference, but here are the equivalents:

   Old district e-mail @ rotarnet.com.au

  Domain e-mail @ rotaryd9750.org.au

d9750

d9750governor

(new)
(new)

d9750attendance

d9750conference

d9750web

General District e-mail should go to the District Secretary address, as mail would to a PO Box.

Please ensure that your club web site at least has a link to the District site as an entity at:
http://rotaryd9750.org.au
(or more fully  http://rotaryd9750.org.au/index.htm  - if your link really needs a filename specified),
and have the link labelled as "Rotary District 9750", "District 9750" or as "rotaryd9750.org.au".

Examples of a change in a link to a special page, if used in addition to the site link:
1. Club Listing page for District 9750
Many club sites also have a link to the club listing, and will need to have the link's URL corrected:
From:  http://rotarnet.com.au/users/9/9750/rotarnet_index/clubindex.asp or .../index.htm
To:     http://rotaryd9750.org.au/rotarnet_index/clubindex.asp
Please advise any corrections per the instructions on our "Contact Us" page.
2. Rotary Information page
Some club sites also have a link to the Rotary and District Information page, and will need to have the link's URL corrected:
From:  http://rotarnet.com.au/users/9/9750/rotinfo/index.htm
To:     http://rotaryd9750.org.au/rotinfo/index.htm

Note that these changes to the District web site do not affect the operation or location of any club web sites, even if they are on Rotarnet. There is only the need to update their links to District web pages and e-mails as above. All the club web sites and the district site are quite independent, whether on Rotarnet or elsewhere.

History of Rotary Site revamp: rotaryhistoryfellowship.org
In addition to the Rotary International web site revamp, all 59 web addresses associated with the History of Rotary project have been wrapped up into this one new site conforming with RI guidelines.
This includes sites like First Rotary, History, History of Rotary in Australia, History Newsletter, Rotary Philosophy, Paul Harris, Rotary Women, ... etc.
If you have already changed to the intermediate address,
http://historynewsletter.org that is still in operation and can be left as is.
If you have any links from your club site to a History related site page, check on the changes.
Example: "Rotary History in Australia" was http://rotaryaustralia.org - but is now
http://rotaryhistoryfellowship.org/global/australia/ .
Some addresses will still work by a re-direct, but that may cut out after some time (so update links to the correct one now), eg
"Rotary's First 100 Clubs" was http://www.rotaryfirst100.org - which was forwarded to
http://rotaryhistoryfellowship.org/clubs/cities/ for a year, but is now invalid.
The full list of domain addresses to replace are at
http://www.rotaryhistoryfellowship.org/domains/

Rotary Internation Site update: rotary.org
Rotary International updated its web site in 2003-04.
If your club has links to that site, check that they still apply as there was considerable rearrangement of pages.
Some changes on the District 9750 site were made to follow the RI setup,
eg the former "Club Resources" page was renamed "Club Support".
