Go to the RI web site's Member Access area via the link just above, or find it at at the right hand end of the second menu line on any rotary.org web page (just under the search box, or see the screen shot of the RI site below).

Access the Club Meeting listings via "Club Locator" on the top most rotary.org menu bar (just to the left of the search box).

"Member Access" is used for an increasing number of functions, like member's own information, making contributions to the Rotary Foundation, allowing club officers to update club and member information, access to RI-CAS forums and to download RI Club Administation Software, and other. See our "Updating RI" page for how to do some of that.

BEFORE you start to register, a Rotarian needs:

1. Their personal RI membership ID number (RID, usually 6 or 7 digits)
2. Their club's RI number (CID, always 5 digits)
3. Their RI district number (not hard for us = 9750, always 4 digits)

To save frustration, find this information before you go to the RI site.

Rotary ID numbers can be located in a variety of ways

Your secretary should have your club and your member number from the last RI semi-annual return listing, or preferably have put it into your RI-CAS database.

Particularly for very old clubs (eg RC Sydney), the Club ID number is NOT the same as the Charter Number. RI aligned all club numbers as a consistent five digit number unrelated to order of charter at that time.

If either your president or secretary are registered for Member Access, they can look up and amend the details for you. They will have extra menu options for club information once they log in to the Member Access area. If the DG or District Secretary are registered for Member Access, they can look up but not amend the details.

You can request your ID numbers by contacting the Department of Data Services at data@rotary.org or contact the RI SPPO (RI South Pacific & Philippines Office) at Parramatta.

Note that the RI web FAQ page mentions that subscribers to The Rotarian or Rotary World (but not regional magazines) can find their member ID on the mailing label. It is the first eight digits directly above your name. It is NOT the number on your Rotary Down Under magazine label, which is a RDU number.

Registering for Member Access: (Click the thumbnail pics below for a full size screen shot if needed)

• Go to the RI web site (rotary.org), and select the "Member Access" button if needed.
• Select the "Register Now" link.
• On the "Register Now" page enter your member, club and district numbers.
• Select "Continue".
• If your IDs are consistent you will be able to enter your e-mail address into the next box (if one is in the database, it will be entered for you, but you can change it).
• Click on the "E-mail me my password" link.
• You will be taken back to the login screen.
• Check your e-mail for the message from RI with your password and username (initially your e-mail address). It is usually sent within a short time. Both username and password can be changed to something meaningful to you once you have logged in.
• If you forget your password, follow this same process to get a new one.

Using Member Access:

Member Access used to be called the "RI Business Portal" and is still headed "Rotary Business Online". The current options in the menu list for the Member Access area on the RI site will include those in the screen shot at right. If you are a club or district officer, you will have extra menu options than shown here, including TRF contributions and PHFs awaarded, and more may be added for all in future anyway. Note that the DOWNLOAD RI-CAS and RI-DAS option is below that for the Support Forums for the CAS and DAS software. See our CAS-DAS page for more information on this.
