Rotary District 9750 - RI-CAS for Rotary Club Tip:

Data Transfer in CAS.

One of the features of RI-CAS is that different functions can be handled by different people on different PCs.
The Treasurer and Secretary can each do their part and send their updated information to the other. This is the most common situation. It is possible to divide up the tasks even finer, for example an attendance officer to do that part separately from the Secretary. The process to do the data transfer only need be modified to select which sections are to be exported and imported. Once you see how the process works you can adjust it to suit your club's situation. There is a lot in the RI-CAS Manual, Knowledge Base and Help function on the variations possible and dealing with duplicate member entries, and is worth reading.

Database Administrator:
The RI-CAS Knowledge Base and Manual strongly suggest that one person (more knowledgable in PC and RI-CAS) controls obtaining and updating the data transfer and accounts updates and distributes the results back to the users. This is an excellent idea, and is highly recommended.

Data Transfer:

Transfers member related information from the Secretary to the Treasurer, or
this can be the other direction, i.e. financial information from the Treasurer to the Secretary, or
from extra users, e.g. from an attendance officer either to the Secretary first or direct to the treasurer. You can select some parts only if that suits your arrangement.
See the RI-CAS Knowledge Base and Manual for more information.
